Basement Waterproofing in Kansas City
If you are experiencing water infiltration into your home or basement, Seal Team can help. We offer the following waterproofing services:
Interior Crack Repair
If you have a crack in your foundation wall causing water to penetrate, Seal Team’s Water Plug crack repair technique will eliminate leaks and strengthen your foundation.
Interior Drainage
Seal Team’s perimeter relief system utilizes a drainage system beneath your basement slab.
First, we remove a portion of the existing floor near the foundation wall and remove the old failed system and debris. Next, we install a drain alongside the footing and a water channel system on top of the footing to divert water from the “cove” area to an installed sump basin that pumps water safely away from your home.
Sump Pump
A functional sump pump is sometimes necessary to remove pools of standing water resulting from heavy downpours or constant hydrostatic pressure (water that comes up from the ground). Our installation process is fast, seamless and effective.
Crawl Space Repair
If your crawl space is damp or musty, it can affect your entire house. Mold, mildew, and wood rot are all common byproducts of a crawl space high in moisture content. Seal Team offers a range of crawl space solutions including vapor barriers, our energy efficient dehumidifier, and much more. Give us a call today to improve your home’s health.
Exterior Water Prevention
Sometimes, the best way to prevent water entering your home is to address the problem from the outside. After removing the perimeter dirt around the exterior foundation wall and thoroughly cleaning the foundation of all debris, we will apply one of our THOROSEAL waterproofing products to your foundation. This will form a flexible, water-tight barrier hidden below the surface. We will also install an exterior drain tile system (French Drain), that is covered in clean rock in order to move water away from your foundation.
French Drains & Downspout Extensions
A French Drain system is essentially a trench containing filter fabric, a perforated pipe and clean gravel, is used to help redistribute excess water from your home’s exterior. Installing a French Drain prevents water from damaging your home’s foundation.
Downspout extensions help to ensure that water coming off your home is not ending up too close to your foundation.
Yard Drainage
Another way to help keep water away from the foundation is to improve the drainage in your landscape or yard. This can include grading of the area around the house to make sure all land slopes away from the foundation, or French Drain installation.
